KingsMark is a privately-owned financial advisory firm headquartered in Southwest Georgia serving clients in our region of the country and beyond. For over 25 years, we have been personally guiding a select group of prominent clients with all aspects of their financial lives. We offer all the sophisticated services of a large institution while embracing the enterprising spirit of a small one. That spirit is one of good living, high values, and worthy endeavors.

I am a partner of KingsMark Private Financial Advisors, a registered independent advisory firm, where I have been employed for over 25 years.  KingsMark is a group of private financial advisors working closely with individuals, families, and businesses to create, grow, and preserve wealth, as well as manage all aspects of their financial planning needs.  While KingsMark offers many of the same sophisticated services as large institutions, I appreciate that we have the opportunity of developing strong, more personal relationships with our clients.  

My advice is objective and innovative, and my focus is on creating strategies that suit the circumstances of each client. I work to ensure that these strategies deliver on the client’s specific goals, agreeing on the big picture while focussing on the details required to get there. I am known for my pragmatism and professionalism in the industry.  Clients trust my advice and feel comfortable, confident, and secure about the management of their financial affairs.  

I have continued to develop my professional experience, knowledge, and qualifications throughout my career. I have a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and am a Certified Financial Planner™.  I stay abreast of circumstances in the financial industry and undertake ongoing professional development to stay informed.

Over thirty years ago, I came to the financial planning profession to seize the opportunity to help people with one of their greatest needs in life – how to plan and manage their financial futures. I consider it my calling to use financial planning to help people build a better life for themselves and to help businesses build a better environment for the success of their company and employees. My ultimate goal is the financial success of my clients and to make a lasting and meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Serving my clients in this capacity, having the opportunity to lead a group of like-minded professionals at KingsMark Private Financial Advisors, and learning an ever-changing subject matter are the reasons why being a Certified Financial Planner® continues as my professional passion.

My spouse and children are central to my personal and professional life, so I’m keenly aware of the importance of planning a financial future that achieves success for all generations. I’m active in the ministry of our church, various agriculture industry groups, and participate in organizations that support our nation’s military and law enforcement members. In my spare time, I enjoy hunting, fishing, and managing my family’s timber farm, which has been in continuous operation for six generations since 1868.

Because I have always enjoyed studying financial markets and using my expertise to offer guidance toward smart financial planning, it was only natural that I become a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®). Today, in my position at KingsMark Private Financial Advisors in Albany, Georgia, I draw upon my commercial banking experience and accounting/tax training to advise business owners and other high-wealth professionals who require complex financial planning solutions. It is my goal to build long-lasting relationships with the families I serve to provide a five-star, client-focused financial planning experience to help them meet their financial goals.

I act as my clients' personal Chief Financial Officer, where my approach to their financial planning is comprehensive. I consider every aspect of their finances to optimize their investment returns and to protect—and grow—their hard-earned assets. I focus on building and following a plan for my clients that will achieve their financial vision. I believe that providing the best service possible to my clients requires keeping my professional and personal lives in balance, and in that pursuit, two of my personal priorities are faith and family. As a parent, I understand how critical it is to plan for a solid financial future. To re-charge, I head outdoors to golf, hunt or have family time at our farm or at the beach.

Being a Registered Investment Advisor at KingsMark Private Financial Advisors has provided me with an opportunity to serve my clients financial planning and investing needs through the best times of their lives such as planning for their children to go off to college, buying a long dreamed about vacation home, gifting of wealth to future generations or charities, planning weddings and planning for retirement. The bonds of trust and friendship are further strengthened by being by their side as they navigate the more challenging times of life we all face.  

The basis of being the best financial partner I can be to my clients starts with truly knowing who they are and what they aspire to. By using a goals-based Wealth management approach I help navigate the financial pitfalls of the market in the pursuit of short-term and long-term goals. Just as the market changes, goals too, change over time. Being a trusted financial partner to my clients helps me adjust the roadmap we follow in pursuit of those goals. 

There are many things that have shaped me into the professional I am today, and those things have had an impact on my personal life as well. My faith, my wife, my children and the mentors I’ve learned from have all had a profound impact on the way I approach life professionally as well as personally. The things I do to re-charge include traveling with my family, church, reading and cooking.

Having always been a detail-oriented person that enjoys helping others, my role as a Client Service Associate at KingsMark Private Financial Advisors allows me to utilize my personal strengths to serve clients and assist colleagues with providing financial planning for families and businesses.  I have supported our professional advisors for the past 20 years in the many aspects of our practice, and I continue to thrive to improve on the client experience. 

As our KingsMark team develops carefully chosen strategies and investment plans, with a wide variety of clients in various phases of life, I am here to support their efforts and work closely with our clients during this process.  Whether I am helping to open new accounts, providing ongoing service for existing accounts, or maintaining important administrative tasks, I strive to be efficient and organized.  I enjoy building relationships with clients so that they are comfortable and confident in my ability to effectively address any concern or issue that may arise. Good communication is a key factor in what we do so I try to focus on listening carefully and asking relevant questions, while maintaining strict confidentiality in all client affairs.  

Since faith and family are very important to me, I find myself also connecting with our clients on a more personal level by asking about their families and the things they enjoy doing.  To unwind, I enjoy spending time outdoors with family, cooking, watching beautiful sunsets, and relaxing with a good book.
